Can AGROPET® be used as a guy wire for antennas? 965 571 267 Yes, it is an ideal guy wire for TV antennas, masts and poles. Being a
polyester monofilament it is non-conductive (lightning protection), does not interfere with the antenna signal, won't rust or stain the roof and withstands years of sun and rain. For domestic antenna guys we recommend 2.6–3 mm; for tall masts, 4–5 mm. Does it hold tension like steel wire? Yes. With an installation tension of 1 % of the line, AGROPET® holds tension stably from −40 °C to +90 °C, without the thermal expansion of metal. Breaking loads range from 300 kgf (2.6 mm) to 616 kgf (5 mm).
Years without maintenance: the polyester is UV-stabilised and immune to rust, fertilisers, crop protection products and salt-laden air. At the end of its service life it is recyclable.
